The MERCURY MRX168A under-seat active subwoofer, measuring 26 x 19.5 cm, undercuts conventional subwoofer systems of this type by a few centimeters. What the small active system creates on powerful bass is sure to amaze any listener. In such small housings, a very high pressure prevails during operation; conventional designed cones would be destroyed. That's why the MRX168A uses a special oval-shaped aluminum cone that can withstand even the highest pressures. Not small is the used Class A/B amplifier. With 100 watts RMS powers the aluminum cone woofer via a 36 mm voice coil perfectly. Due to the short-circuit-proof 10-pin connector, the active system can also be quickly and easily removed if necessary.
