With the new VULCAN VRX models, HiFonics is now expanding its range to include powerful underseat subwoofers in the 20 and 25 cm class with an all-aluminum housing. These subwoofers not only impress with attractive prices, they also impress as usual with the high processing quality and full equipment that is appreciated by HiFonics fans worldwide. In many inexpensive underseat subs, economy circuits in the amplifier area or even cheap ICs are often used. Not so in the two new HiFonics models. Both VULCAN VRX Subs have fully-fledged Class A/B MosFet power amplifiers, which are very load-stable and always deliver plenty of steam. With 250 watts max. in the 8" (20 cm) or 300 watts max. in the 10" (25 cm) model, they really heat up the special woofers. The subwoofers also have particularly stable membranes in order to be able to withstand the high pressures that occur in the small housings due to the compression of the air volume. Conventional basses with standard membranes would be completely unsuitable here and would burst. With an adjustable lowpass filter, bass boost, switchable phase shift and a bass level remote control, the connection to the system is almost perfect. Of course, both also have a high-level input with automatic switch-on, to ensure connection to factory radios without a cinch output, for example.
