If you are looking for a powerful SPL subwoofer and don't want to spend huge amounts of money, you will find what you are looking for with the new HiFonics ZEUS SPL subwoofer. With the maximum load capacity of 1,200 watts and a short-term 1,800 watt peak, the new ZSPL12D2 is no child of sadness. On the contrary – it sets standards in its class.

The new 12 inch SPL woofer unmistakably shows its relationship to the highly praised ZEUS ZXT EXTREME series. It also uses the proven beaded profile structure, which was specially designed for extremely high deflections. This ensures that the membrane is optimally guided and at the same time prevents undesirable swinging. In addition, a dust protection dome made of very robust carbon composite material ensures further stabilization. All of these features are particularly crucial for SPL woofers, as they have to withstand extreme deflections and high air pressures. Conventional plastic dust caps would be completely unsuitable here. Of course, the striking, blue magnetic boots of the ZEUS series were retained.

Thanks to a sophisticated cooling system that ventilates the voice coil via the pole plate, the new ZSPL12D2 bolide is able to effortlessly process up to 1,200 watts in the music range. The subwoofer can easily handle even short-term impulses of up to 1,800 watts. The 64 mm double voice coil with 2 + 2 ohm impedance, which is larger than average for this price range, has an impressive winding length of 38 millimeters and is powered by a powerful 120 ounce double magnet. With a deflection of +/- 26 mm, the new ZEUS moves a lot of air in front of the membrane and “presses” so hard that you almost lose your breath.

The new ZEUS SPL Sub feels very comfortable in a bass reflex housing. It starts with a volume of around 45 liters. It plays truly perfectly in 55-60 liter cases. Then it really develops its brutal deep bass qualities.
