In the heart of the HiFonics ZEUS EVOLUTION woofers work a powerful Y35 magnet drivers with a diameter of 140 mm, which drive a large 64 mm voice coils. These are ventilated with thermally ideal pole core vents. In addition, so-called "bumped" T-plates ensure an even longer stroke, which reaches up to +/- 17 mm (X-Max). While pressed paper cones are usually used in inexpensive woofers, the ZXE woofers rely on expensive, handmade paper cones that are double-stitched with the surrounds, which are known for their very good sound. All of these ingredients give the ZXE subs an extremely good level of efficiency of 92 or 90 dB at 2.83 volts/1m. Even with a small amplifier power input, these subs already generate high volumes. The Thiele-Small Parameters are designed in such a way that the ZXE woofers can be used to build powerful vented boxes with decent depth and also medium-sized, closed cabinets. Even free-air applications are possible.

The Zeus basses also do justice to the HF style in terms of looks: a newly tooled gasket, the blue magnet boot typical for HiFonics and the blue sewn surround-cone seam proudly show the HiFonics brand insignias.
